19 Nov BOURBON & WINE HOLIDAY EXPO AT BLUES
The holidays are upon us and that means extra social events, gift-giving, and hosting family and friends. Like your mama said, “never show up empty handed,” and this year, Bethany Blues wants to make sure that you showing up in style with bourbon and wine that will knock their socks off.
On Friday, December 6th, Bethany Blues of Lewes will be hosting a Bourbon and Wine Holiday Expo from 4-6PM. The event is partnering with Teller Wines of Lewes, and they will be on hand to offer tastes and consultations concerning their wine selections and pairings for the holidays. They can help with everything from picking the perfect hostess gift to selections for Christmas dinner, and in between.
Similarly, Southern Wine and Spirits is going to be talking bourbon and how to select for both gifting and pairing with foods. Nicole Giannella, Catering Manager for the Lewes location explains, “Coupling bourbon to food is different than with wine in that you want flavors that stand up to one another versus complementing each other in the traditional sense.” Participants can mix, mingle, and place their holiday wine and spirit orders with Teller Wines, putting a major dent in their holiday gift lists!
Bethany Blues will start the event off with a welcome cocktail, and offer appetizers, a cheeseboard, mini desserts, and lots of tastings during the event. There will also be a take-home recipe card for a holiday-centric cocktail. Response to the event has been great and tickets are expected to sell out soon, but Giannella says this is an event to keep your eye on. “This is an event that we are hoping to grow over the years!”
Bethany Blues’ Bourbon and Wine Expo is being held on Friday, December 6th from 4-6PM. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased by calling the restaurant at 302-644-2500.
