25 Sep Jazz Fest Lineup in Lewes
For those who love the sultry sounds of jazz, Jazz Festival in Rehoboth Beach and its surrounding points, is the highlight of their fall season. Tickets can go quickly, cost a pretty penny, and many of the restaurants are packed to gills hosting various artists. This year, Bethany Blues is in on the action more than ever before and they are offering a full jazz line up beginning Wednesday, October 11th through Sunday, October 15th—FOR FREE.
“We are not charging anything for our shows, and we’ve booked some really great acts for the weekend.” Says Jessica Nathan, Director of Operations for the Lewes location. “We want to invite everyone in for a good time, great barbecue, bourbon, and of course, stellar entertainment in the spirit of jazz weekend.”
The festivities will kick off on Wednesday, October 11th, with Youth Appreciation Night, hosted by True Blue Jazz, from 6-9PM. This is a truly special event featuring the local future of jazz. True Blue Jazz is a 501c3 nonprofit organization committed to preserving the jazz standard and bringing that sound to stage locally. This special performance will feature local students and jazz ensembles on the Bethany Blues stage.
On Friday, they are kicking it into high gear with Elwood Bishop & No Biscuits. And then into the weekend on Saturday with Swing Junction. Both shows will begin at 8:30PM.
Sunday, you can catch The Reminders live on the stage as you wind down the weekend with the Jazz Brunch on Sunday beginning at 10 AM. Enjoy the bounty of the biggest brunch in lower Delaware to the smooth sounds of jazz. Grab a bloody or mimosa, and kick back with your family—it’s the best of all worlds under one roof.
